A 10-Year Vision to Achieve an Interoperable Health IT Infrastructure

This 13-page open letter from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services addresses a 10-year vision and the dual goal of inter-operable technology for sharing healthcare records, coupled with a shift to standardized care of patients. The is now called “population health” in government lingo.  It was previously referred to as disease management.
